The Community Arts Council of the Alberni Valley invites you to one last page-turning event as our beloved Annual Book Sale returns for its final year on Saturday, May 9 (Mother’s Day weekend).


📍 Alberni Athletic Hall, 3727 Roger St

📅 Saturday, May 9 10:00 AM – 4:00 PM


After many years as a cornerstone fundraiser supporting local arts and culture, this will be the final chapter of this much-loved event. Due to ongoing storage limitations, we’re closing the book on the sale—but not without one unforgettable send-off.

“This event has meant so much to our community,” shares Angela, Arts Council Administrator. “While it’s bittersweet, we’re excited to make this final sale something special and begin a new chapter with future literary-focused events.”

Expect a wide selection of gently used books for every reader—whether you're hunting for a hidden gem or stocking up for summer reading.


Get Involved:

• Local Authors: Host a table and connect with readers (email: admin@alberniarts.com)

• Donate Books: Drop off at the Visitor Centre (white wooden box outside, or inside Mon–Fri, 10–4)

• Volunteer: Help with sorting, setup, or event day (and take home a few books as thanks!)
